The PLATO 2.0 Payload is managed by Germany. The corresponding activities are placed under global management of a DLR-appointed instrument manager, the PLATO 2.0 Instrument Project Manager (PIPM), who acts as a support for the PLATO 2.0 Mission Consortium Lead on all technical and managerial aspects of the Payload development. The PIPM is responsible for all Consortium activities concerning the Payload during the definition phase, and for the delivery of all related documentation. He reports to the PMC lead on a weekly basis, and interfaces directly with the ESA Project Team.
