Catania Astrophysical Observatory Outreach Office offers public information on a wide range of Astronomical and Astrophysical topics. We organize visits to our facilities, courses and conferences for schools, cultural associations, clubs and citizens. This page is a short summary of our activities for english-speaking visitors.

Visits to the Observatory

Visits for cultural associations, clubs and citizens are arranged to "M.G. Fracastoro" (Serra la Nave, Mt. Etna, 1725m a.s.l.) mountain station of Catania Astrophysical Observatory over the period June-September. They consist in a guided tour to one of the telescopes and in the observation of some astronomical objects (the Moon and/or a planet). The program can be modified due to weather conditions or to peculiar astronomical events.

Visits for the year 2012 will start in June An english-speaking guide will be available upon request.

Conferences and Courses
