The objective of iALMA is to consolidate the scientific, technological and industrial contribution of Italy, as a Member State of the intergovernmental organisation European Organisation for Astronomical Research in the Southern Hemisphere (ESO), within the world’s most important infrastructure for the study of the Universe at submillimetre wavelengths: the Atacama Large Millimetre/submillimetre Array (ALMA).
