Activity
My research activity is devoted to the experimental study of the effects of energy processing (irradiation with fast ions and UV photons) on solids of interest in astrophysics (ices, carbons, silicates). One aspect of this activity is the study of the formation of complex molecules following energetic processing of ices. The results make a contribution to the understanding of the processes that determine the formation of molecules in dense molecular clouds and star-forming regions, comets, and icy bodies in the outer Solar System.
