Vincenzo Antonuccio

My main research interests focus on galaxy-black holes co-evolution. I am also working on numerical modelling of chemodynamic processes within the Galaxy. I started my career working on the dynamics of galaxy clusters and on galaxy-halo dynamical interactions.

I got my first degree (“Laurea”) in Physics from the University of Catania on Oct. 10th, 1984. In 1986 I got my M.Sc. in Astrophysics from SISSA/ISAS (Trieste), and in 1992 the PhD in Astrophysics, both having as supervisor the late D.W. Sciama. I was then a postdoc in Copenhagen, Stockholm, Seattle and in January 1991 I was enrolled as researcher at OACt (now INAF-OACt).

I served as PI of the EC-FP7 grant “COSMOCT – Cosmology at Catania Astrophysical Observatory” (2004-2008). Member of the Italian Physical Society (SIF), Italian Astronomical Society (SAIt), Intl. Astronomical Union (IAU).
